kerri pilchik

Founder and Designer

Kerri Pilchik received her art history degree from Duke University, a law degree from Georgetown University and a certificate in interior design from the New York School of Interior Design. Kerri practiced environmental law in New York City where she was entrusted to represent some of the City’s largest real estate developers and art museums. During this time she developed a critical eye for detail and skill for editing that translates invaluably to interior design. After 14 years, she decided to pursue her lifelong passion for interior design full time. Although she had spent years honing her design skills informally, she enrolled at NYSID to undertake an important formal design education. She began practicing design in 2015, and in the beginning of 2021, Kerri established KPD. She has completed projects from a beach house in the Hamptons to a brownstone in Brooklyn, and currently is working on projects up and down the East Coast.

Kerri is known for design with bold color and pattern used in a classic, clean and chic way. Her ability to create both dynamic and quiet moments and to mix traditional with modern elements is what clients express draws them to KPD, in addition to Kerri’s strong background in client service. She carefully listens to the needs and wants of her clients, and has a knack for translating their aesthetic into its best version - even better than they could have imagined!  She lives in Ridgewood, NJ with her husband, two teenagers and a mischievous beagle.

Kerri has been recognized as one of House Beautiful’s 2023 Next Wave Designers, an exclusive list of design stars on the rise. In addition, Kerri Pilchik Design is an Architectural Digest featured designer for 2024.
